Amendments in the Drawback rates

G.S.R. (E).-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (2) and (3) of section 75 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), sub-sections (2) and (2A) of section 37 of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), and section 93A and sub-sections (2) and (3) of section 94 of the Finance Act, 1994 (32 of 1994), and in pursuance of rules 3, 4 and 5 of the Customs, Central Excise Duties and Service Tax Drawback Rules, 1995, the Central Government, hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No.68/2007-Customs(N.T.), dated the 16th July, 2007 (hereinafter referred to as the said notification), with effect from 1st day of September, 2007, namely:-

In the Schedule to the said notification,-

(a) in Chapter 52,-

(i) for tariff items 520501, 520502, 520503 and 520504 and the entries relating thereto, the following tariff items and the entries shall be substituted, namely:-

520501	of less than 60 counts, grey	KG	6%	12	1%	2
520502	of less than 60 counts, dyed	KG	7.1%	20	1.3%	3.6
520503	of 60 and more counts, grey	KG	9.5%	28	3.3%	9.8

(ii) for tariff items 520701, 520702, 520703 and 520704 and the entries relating thereto, the following tariff items and the entries shall be substituted, namely:-
