Setting up of EPZ in the Private/Joint/ State Sector

Export Processing Zones can be set up by State Governments or in private/ joint sector as per guidelines at Appendix-16G of Handbook (Vol-I).
Note:
In the case of units under EHTP/STP schemes, necessary approvals/permission under relevant paragraphs of this Chapter shall be granted by the officer designated by the Ministry of Information Technology for the purpose instead of the Development Commissioner of EPZ and by the Inter-Ministerial Standing Committee (IMSC) instead of BOA.
