85 ELECTRICAL MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT AND PARTS THEREOF;
Import licensing notes:
(1) In respect of only the items covered under the erstwhile Code 852520 09 in the previous ITC (HS) Classification 1997-2002 viz. Other radio communication equipment including VHF, UHF and microwave communication equipment, the Condition relating to the Policy would (continue to) read as follows-Not permitted to be imported except against a licence to be issued by the WPC Wing of Ministry of Communication
(At the end of Cha. 85 this Import licensing note has been inserted vide Ntf. No. 04/2002, Dt. 15/05/2002)
(2) Import of films including films on video tape, compact video disc, laser video disc or digital video disc, as classified under this Chapter, shall be governed by the provisions of the Public Notice No. 64/1997-2002 dated 29.01.2002 as appended to the chapter 37.
