SSI Exemption-Clearances under Job Notification etc. are not to be counted towards Total Clearance under Exemption

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India, in the erstwhile Ministry of Finance and Company Affairs (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table below, shall be further amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table.

1.	8/2003-Central Excise, dated the 1st March, 2003	In the said notification, in paragraph 3A, after clause (d), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:- "(e) clearances, which are exempt from the whole of the excise duty leviable thereon under notifications No. 214/86-Central Excise, dated the 25th March, 1986 (G.S.R.547(E), dated the 25th March, 1986), or No. 83/94-Central Excise, dated the 11th April, 1994 (G.S.R. 375(E), dated the 11th April, 1994), or No. 84/94-Central Excise, dated the 11th April, 1994 (G.S.R. 376 (E), dated the 11th April, 1994)."
