NOTIFICATION No.40/1998-CUSTOMS,Dated : 29-6-98 G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) read with sub-section (4) of section 68 of the Finance (No.2) Act, 1996 (33 of 1996), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry, of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 12/97-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1997, namely :-

In the said notification, in the Table, against S. No. 15, in column (2), in clause (e), for the words, and letters weighing upto 51 g/m2 , the words, figures and letters weighing upto 70 g/m2 shall be substituted.
