Unwrought Nickel for manuf. of Iron & Steel
G. S. R (E) - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-section (4) of the Finance (No. 2) Act, 1996 (33 of 1996), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 12/97-Customs, the 1st March, 1997, namely :-
In the said notification, in the Table, against serial No. 14A, in column (2),-
- for the words "for use in the manufacture of steel", the words "for use
in the manufacture of iron or steel" shall be substituted; and
- for item (f), the following shall be substituted, namely :-
"(f) Charge nickel / nickel oxide sinter falling under sub-heading No. 7501.20 and unwrought nickel falling under sub-heading No. 7502.20, of the said First Schedule; and
