Amendments in NTF. NO. 58/2003-CE & 59/2003-CE, DT.22/07/2003 (Substitute - Period of effect)

G.S.R.301(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act,1944 (1of 1944), read with sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Additional Duties of Excise (Goods of Special Importance) Act 1957 (58 of 1957), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be further amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table.

1	58/2003-CENTRAL EXCISE, dated the 22nd July, 2003 (G.S.R 575(E), dated the 22nd July, 2003).	In the said notification, in paragraph 2, for the figures, letters and words '1st day of May, 2004', the figures, letters and words '11th day of May, 2004 ' shall be substituted.
2.	59/2003-CENTRAL EXCISE, dated the 22nd July, 2003 (G.S.R 576(E), dated the 22nd July, 2003).	In the said notification, in paragraph 2, for the figures, letters and words '1st day of May, 2004', the figures, letters a words '11th day of May, 2004 ' shall be substituted.
