Seeking to amend Notification No. 25/1999-Customs dated 28.2.1999, so as to extend concessional basic customs duty to specified inputs namely, Dyes, Optical grade polycarbonate and Jewel Box, when used for the manufacture of CD-R (unrecorded CD).

G.S.R. (E)- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification, of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 25/1999-Customs, dated the 28th February, 1999, namely:-
In the said notification, in the Table, in List A, after S. No. 167 and entries relating thereto, the following S. No. and the entries shall be inserted, namely:-
