Central government fixes the rate of interest
(This Notification has been supersessed vide Ntf.No.21/2001 Cus.(N.T.) dt.11/05/2001)
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 27A of the Customs Act 1962 (52 of 1962) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 32/95 Customs, (N.T.), dated the 26 May, 1995, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby fixes the rate of interest at fifteen per cent per annum for the purposes of the said section.
