Refined Vegetable Oils of Edible Garde - 25% Basic Custom duty

CUSTOMS NOTIFICATION No.139/1999 Dated 30th December. 1999

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No.20/99-Customs, dated the 28th February, 1999, namely:-

In the said notification, in the Table,-

(a) for serial No. 11 and the entries relating thereto, the following entries shall be substituted, namely:-

"11.	15	Refined vegetable oils (other than coconut oil,		25%	- 	-
		RBD palm oil, RBD palm kernel oil and palm
		stearin) of edible grade, in loose or bulk form

11A.	15	Vegetable oils (excluding coconut oil) of edible         	15%	5	;
		grade, in loose or bulk form other than those
		specified in S. No. 11 above, imported for the
		manufacture of oil commonly known as
		""Vanaspati"" or for refining
		Explanation - The expression ""vegetable oil""
		means
		(a) palm oil with free fatty acid content of at
		least 2%, or
		(b) any other vegetable oil with free fatty acid
		content of at least 0.5%

(b) Serial No. 12 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted.
