Amendments in the notification regarding waive the condition relating to PPA to power projects promoted by State Electricity Boards/Corporations notified as State Transmission Utility and Licensee
G.S.R. 917(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 81/2005-Customs, dated the 8th September, 2005, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary vide number G.S.R.569 (E), dated the 8th September, 2005, namely:-
In the said notification, after condition (ii), the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-
Provided that this condition shall not apply to the power generation projects promoted by State electricity boards or corporations which are notified by the respective State Governments as the State Transmission Utility and Licensee.
