50 per cent of the cost of training shall be borne by the Government, subject to Rs. 5000 per course per trainee and subject to Rs. One lakh per annum, for any unit for a period of 5 years. In case of women trainees, the corresponding figures shall be per cent, Rs. 7500 and Rs. 1.50 lakh respectively.
For programmes of skill-development leading to employment of the trainees into employment, 50 per cent of the cost of training shall be borne by the Government, on approved programmes, subject to a maximum of Rs. 5 lakh per unit. In case of women trainees the corresponding figures would be 75 per cent and Rs. 7.50 lakh.
