| Declaration in compliance with Section 31(4) of the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, 1973 in respect of immovable properties held in India as on 1st January 1974 by individuals |
Instructions:
| 1. | The declaration should be submitted in duplicate either to the Chief General Manager, Exchange Control Department [Foreign Investment Division (iii)], Reserve Bank of India, Central Office, Mumbai - 400001 or to the Office of the Reserve Bank within whose jurisdiction the property is situated. |

| 2. | Please give clear and complete particulars against each item. Where any particular item is not applicable, please write N.A. against it. |
|
|
|
| 3. | If space is not sufficient for giving full information/particulars against any of the items, a separate sheet may be attached to the declaration and serially numbered as an annexure. |
|
|
|
| 4. | A separate form should be used for each immovable property. |
|
|
|
| 5. | Declarants wishing to dispose of or transfer immovable properties by way of sale, lease (for a period exceeding 5 years), mortgage, gift, etc., should submit application in prescribed form (IPI 2) for permission under Section 31(1) of the FERA 1973 to the Chief General Manager, Exchange Control Department, [Foreign Investment Division (iii)], Reserve Bank of India, Central Office, Mumbai - 400 001. |

| 6. | A photo-copy of the power of attorney duly certified by a Solicitor/Advocate should be submitted if the declaration is signed by the attorney of the declarant. |

| 4. | Date on which the immovable property in question was acquired by the declarant. |

| 5. | How the property was acquired, i.e., whether by way of purchase, lease, inheritance, mortgage, gift, etc. |
