Overseas Medical Insurance Schemes
GIC through its four subsidiaries in India is operating the following Medical Insurance Schemes approved by Reserve Bank for the benefit of resident Indians going abroad for certain approved purposes. Scheme Risk Covered Premium 1. Overseas Medical Expenses on services Insurance Scheme such as physicians for Indians attention, hospital- In Indian Travelling Abroad -isation, physician rupees for Business and ordered medical other purposes services, transport, (OMIS) etc. incurred while the traveller is abroad are covered under the scheme. 2. Overseas Mediclaim Expenses incurred Insurance Scheme for sudden and In Foreign for Employment and unexpected sickness Currency Studies[OMIS(E&S)] or accident while abroad are covered under the Scheme
