Agricultural/Plantation Activities, etc. of FERA Companies
In terms of Section 29(1A) of FERA 1973, FERA companies are required to obtain general or special permission of Reserve Bank for carrying on in India any activity relating to agriculture or plantation or to acquire the whole or any part of any undertaking in India, of person or company carrying on any activity relating to agriculture or plantation or purchase of the shares in such a company. Applications for the purpose should be made in form FNC 2 to the Central Office of Reserve Bank (Foreign Investment Division)
