Minimum Export Price(MEP) for export of Sona Masuri and Ponni Samba rice
2. A new sub-para (v) shall be added after number (iv) at the end of para 3 of Public Notice No. 36 (RE-2010)/2009-2014 dated 01.03.2011. The new sub-para 3(v) will be as under:

(v) The export of Sona Masuri, Ponni Samba and Matta varieties of non-Basmati rice shall be subject to a Minimum Export Price (MEP) of USD 850 per MT.
(Above sub-para (v) has been amended vide PN. NO. 44/2010, DT. 31/03/2011)

3. Effect of this Public Notice:
Sona Masuri, Ponni Samba and Matta varieties of rice were permitted to be exported as per Notification No. 21 of 10.02.2011. Now, MEP of USD 850 has been prescribed for Sona Masuri rice and Ponni-Samba rice. No MEP is being prescribed for Matta rice. There is no change in other conditions mentioned in Public Notice No. 36 (RE-2010)/2009-2014 dated 01.03.2011.
