Export of onion - canalised item - extension in time limit

- Extension in time limit for export of onions against NOCs issued by canalising agencies on or before 31.5.99.
Subsequenty instructions were issued from time to time to allow shipments against the NOCs issued till 31.5.99.The last date prescribed hitherto for such shipments was till 15.7.99.
Some of the exporters who could not exports against the NOCs already obtained till 31.5.99 have moved to the Hon'ble High Courts for extending time limit for grant of such shipments.
Keeping in view the problems faced by the exporters and the direction given by the Hon'ble Courts in certain cases, it has been decided to allow an extension in period of shipments of such exports by 15 days from the date of issuance of this circular.
Accordingly, export of onions against NOCs already issued on or before 31.5.99 shall be allowed for a period of 15 days upto 19th November, 1999.
