Export of Sugar to EU
Cane sugar export to European Union permitted

2. Attention is also invited to Policy Circular No. 6/97-98 dated 17.6.97 enhancing the quantity of 35,500 (Thirty five thousand and five hundred) Mts. of Sugar earmarked for export by M/s. Indian Sugar & General Industry Export Import Corporation (ISGIEIC) Ltd. to a quantity of 36,300 (thirty six thousand and three hundred) MTs for export to European Union (EU) and-USA under the preferential arrangements.
3. It has now been decided to release a quantity of 10,500 MTs of Raw Cane Sugar for export to European Union (EU) against the preferential quota for the delivery period 1997 -98 by M/s. Indian Sugar & General industry Export Import Corporation (ISGIEIC) Ltd. during the period October 1996 to September 1997.
4. Other terms and conditions as specified in this office's, Policy Circular No. 6/97-98, dated 17.6.97 shall, however, remain unchanged.
