Export of Bones and products of Bones
In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export & Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Schedule 2 Appendix 1 of the book titled "ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import Items 1997-2002".
2. The entry against S. No. 35 in the Schedule 2 Appendix 1 of the book titled "ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import Items 1997-2002" (incorporating amendments made upto 31st August, 1998) shall be amended to read as under :-
| Sl. No. | Item | Exports allowed on the fulfilment of following conditions/production of documents. |

| 35 (i) | Bones and bone products (excluding bone meal), horn and horn products (excluding horn meal) and hooves and hoof products (excluding hoof meal) when exported to the European Union. | Export allowed subject to production of a certificate from Chemicals and Allied Products Export Promotion Council (CAPEXIL) regarding production process followed by the establishment of production in respect of the exported item. |
| 35 (ii) | Export of Bones and Bone Products including Ossein and Gelatine intended to be used For Human Consumption Meant for European Union. | Allowed subject to approval of establishment of production and issue of Health Certificate by Chemicals and Allied Products Export Promotion Council (CAPEXIL) in respect of the exported item |
