Floor price for import of tyres fixed
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Foreign trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with paragraph 4.1 of Export and Import policy, 1997-2002, in the Central Government hereby notifies the following amendments in the "ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items 1997-2002", namely:-
The policy indicated against the following Sub-Exim under Code 40.12 shall be amended to read as under:-

| 40121000.20 | For passenger automobile vehicles, including two wheelers, three wheelers and personal type vehicles | Restricted | Not permitted to be imported except against a licence or in accordance with a public Notice issued in this behalf | Import permitted freely if the per Tyre cif value is US $ 25 and above |
