Amendments in the Schedule-2 of the ITC(HS) Classifications (Chapter 14 & 44)

S.O.(E) - In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (Sl. No.66) read with Para 1.3, 2.1 & 2.29 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009 (as amended from time to time), the Central Government hereby makes following amendments in the Schedule-2 of the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2004-2009 :-

Against S.No. 66 in Chapter 14 of Schedule-2 , the entry under the column Export Policy may be read as Free till 31.3.2010 instead of Free till 31.3.2008. Consequently Note No. 2 in Chapter 44 of Schedule 2 may also be read as Muli Bamboo (Melocanna baccifera) is freely exportable up to 31.3.2010. The details may be seen in Chapter 14.
